American Congress of Muslim Youth

The courses will consist of a six-week program.  Program curriculum will focus on the following:

• Fiqh Ahqlat (minorities fiqh)
• Principles of Islamic Family Law
• Principles of Islamic Medical Ethics
• Principles of Islamic Business Ethics
• Principles of Islamic Banking
• Principles of establishing a Waqf
• Principles of Zakat
• Principles of Moderation in Islam and Inter-faith Dialogue
• Basic Arabic Instruction
• Aqeedah (Creed)

Oustide the classroom, program participants will visit the mortuary ot observed the proper way of preparing a body for janaza.  They will visit schools and universities throught the UAE to conduct lectures on "Islam in America."  Participants will be asked to deliver jummah khutbahs at English speaking Masajids throughout the UAE.

If a participant does not know how to read and write in Arabic, hey will be able to by the end of the course.  If a participant requires advanced Arabic language instruction, it will be provided.

All participants will be invited to participate in the performance of Hajj.  They wll spend time in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

Accommodations:

All participants will be housed in fully-furnished villas.  Food will be provided for and catered.

Language of Instruction:

All classes with the exception of the Arabic language class will be conducted in English.

2007 Program Dates

• Arrival in Washington DC - Oct 25th
• Arrival in Abu Dhabi - Oct 29th
• Classes commence - Nov 1st
• Depart for Hajj - Dec 12th
• Return to the US - Dec 25th

• Accommodations and food while on Hajj

• Ground Transportation for program activities in UAE
